Kanchha Sherpa

Kanchha Sherpa is the founder and Managing Director of Nima Adventure Trek & Expedition. A career Himalayan guide, he spent many years leading travellers through Nepal’s best-known trekking regions before founding the company, and along the way he built a strong reputation for honesty, safety and genuine hospitality.

As more trekkers came to rely on his experience and personal care, demand for his guiding steadily grew. What began as individual guiding gradually became a trusted team of guides, porters and travel planners who share his commitment to quality and service. Kanchha established Nima Adventure to bring that team together, with the aim of offering ethical, safe and personalised journeys in the Himalaya.

Today the company runs treks, trekking peaks and 8,000 m expeditions, and has supported Malaysian climbers on Everest, K2 and Manaslu. Kanchha was also elected to the Central Executive Committee of the Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) in 2019. He continues to lead Nima Adventure by the principles on which he built it: heartfelt service, responsible travel and deep mountain knowledge.
