Privacy Policy
Nima Adventure Trek & Expedition P. Ltd. (“Nima Adventure”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and when you book a trip with us, why we collect it, how we look after it and the choices you have. Our office is in Boudha-06, Kathmandu, Nepal.
Information we collect
We only collect information that you choose to give us, or that we need to plan and run your trip. This may include:
- Enquiry and contact forms: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country, the trip you are interested in, preferred travel dates, group size and any message you send us.
- Booking and traveller forms: the names, dates of birth, nationalities and passport details of each traveller, contact and emergency contact details, arrival and flight details, and any dietary or medical information you choose to share with us.
- Travel insurance form: the name of your insurer, your policy number and the insurer’s emergency assistance phone number.
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address and, if you give it, your name.
- Reviews and trip feedback: your name, the review you write and any rating or photograph you add. Published reviews can be seen by the public.
- Payments: payments are handled by banks or secure payment providers. We do not store full card details on our website.
Why we use your information
- To answer your enquiries and prepare trip suggestions.
- To confirm and manage your booking, including arranging permits, accommodation, domestic flights, transport, guides and porters.
- To look after your safety, for example by sharing your insurance and emergency contact details with rescue and medical services if you need help.
- To send you our newsletter or travel updates, but only if you have asked to receive them.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations in Nepal.
- To understand how our website is used and to improve it.
Sharing your information
We never sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers when this is needed to deliver your trip, such as hotels and lodges, airlines and helicopter operators, the government offices that issue trekking and climbing permits, and local partners in Tibet, Bhutan, India or Pakistan when your trip includes those countries. We may also share information when the law requires it, or in an emergency to protect your health and safety.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described above. Booking records are kept for as long as Nepali law requires for accounting and tax purposes. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted once they are no longer needed. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in each email.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies, which are small text files stored on your device. Some are essential for the site to work, for example to remember the trips in your booking cart. Others help us understand, in general and anonymous terms, how visitors use the site so that we can improve it. Some pages include embedded content, such as YouTube videos, which may set their own cookies under the provider’s privacy policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may then not work properly.
Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and only people who need it to arrange your trip can see it. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please share passport and payment details only through our forms or in the way we ask.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your information, unless we must keep it for legal or accounting reasons;
- stop sending you marketing emails.
To make a request or ask a question about your privacy, email info@nimaadventure.com. We will reply as soon as we can.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page.
Disclaimer
Travel in the Himalaya depends on conditions that no operator can control. The itineraries on this website are a guide and may change because of weather, delayed or cancelled flights (especially mountain flights such as those to Lukla), road conditions, landslides, permit rules, the health of the group or other local circumstances. Your guide will always choose the safest practical option, and any change will be made with your safety and enjoyment in mind.
We work hard to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but trip details, inclusions, permit requirements and visa rules can change. Please treat the website as general information and confirm the details of your trip with us before you book. Photographs are for illustration, and conditions on your trip may differ. Links to other websites are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content.
